Taken in Nakheel beach early in May 2011, when the weather started to turn warm in the eastern province. We drove to Jubail's Nakheel Beach, over an hour's drive from Khobar proper. We arrived around noontime as we had a late start. Weather was warm, the wind was blowing tiny particles of sand and dust in the air.
The girls enjoyed chilling out in the shade of the nipa-thatched cabana where we had our mini-picnic lunch

exploring the rocky beach,
leaving footprints in the sand
wading in the waters of the Arabian Gulf
and watching white-winged waders (storks?) fishing for lunch just off the shore--see those little white specks in the distance?...just one of those times I wished I had one of those cameras with powerful lenses...
until it was time to move on to our next destination.
